Dupont™ Corian© is one of the easiest, lightest and user-friendly materials out there. Being mainly acrylic with natural particulates, this product gives you seamless and almost invisible joins. Like a fine wood, Corian© can be routed, cut, sculpted and bent making this the perfect product for rounded projects such as contemporary reception desks, tub surrounds, islands, and sinks. The newer Illumination Series offers translucent colours that can be used for lighted projects such as lamps, bars(both night-club and home!), and even vanities for young children to find their way in the dark. Corian© is a home-owners dream with the ease of being virtually maintenance free and non-porous.  Pairing it with a Corian© backsplash and Corian© branded undermount sink gives the beautiful look of a single solid surface top.

The beauty of Dupont™ Corian© is that it is refinish-able.  Over time, Corian© acquires a patina, changing the appearance of the finish of the product. Being made of acrylic, the product can be refinished by a Dupont™ Certified Fabricator and brought back to its original life. Due to the properties of acrylic, darker Corian© colours tend to require more care and maintenance than lighter colours, as Corian© scratches white and is much more noticeable on darker colours.

Points to consider with Dupont™ Corian©

• Three finishes available: Matte, Semi-Gloss, and High-Gloss.

• It can be cut, routed, frilled, sculpted, bent, or worked like a fine wood.
• Won’t fade or discolor.
• With proper cleaning, resists the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria.
• ½” thick.
• Remains stable and undamaged temperatures up to 212 F (100 C) though high heat or flame will damage your surface.
• Easy to clean; soapy water of an ammonia-based cleaner is all that is necessary for day to day care (not window cleaners as they can leave a waxy build up that may dull the surface).
• Sinks and backsplashes can be perfectly integrated to create the illusion of a single, solid surface.
• 10-year transferable warranty from Dupont™.
• Matte finish is recommended for most colors.
